Washington/London | US President Donald Trump has admonished the Albanese government’s unwillingness to contribute militarily to reopening the crucial Strait of Hormuz, as he pushed back his deadline for Iran to accept his peace proposal “before it is too late”.
Trump said he was again extending his pledge to refrain from attacking Iran’s power plants, this time by 10 days, so peace negotiations with Tehran can take place. Trump had threatened to bomb Iran’s energy infrastructure on Friday unless the strait was reopened, but he has now pushed the deadline until April 6.
