Apple calls in PwC to resolve Australian payroll blunder

The Australian subsidiary of global tech giant Apple has brought in consulting firm PwC to rectify an internal technology systems blunder that affected the pay and leave entitlements of thousands of employees.

The $US3.7 trillion ($5.3 trillion) iPhone maker will have to repay hundreds of former employees and grant extra leave entitlements to current staff after its human resources systems mistakenly counted public holidays as leave days.
