Victoria’s building regulator, which has laid charges against builder Glenvill for 15 alleged breaches of building insurance laws, said the industry must hurry up and adopt changes to prevent widespread consumer losses in the case of another Porter Davis-style home builder collapse.
The Building and Plumbing Commission has filed charges against Glenvill Constructions for taking deposits from home building customers before it had a domestic building policy in place, in violation of reforms implemented after the 2023 collapse of giant Porter Davis Homes.
