A former senior figure inside the Cannon-Brookes family’s private investment vehicle says he was acting legitimately when he downloaded almost 1000 confidential files, including committee minutes, meeting papers and remuneration information at the behest of Annie Cannon-Brookes.
Kevin Chiu was the company secretary of Cannon-Brookes Services until early last year, and has become embroiled in the messy separation of Annie Cannon-Brookes and her estranged husband Mike Cannon-Brookes, the billionaire businessman who co-founded software giant Atlassian.
