Tasmanian food and poultry company TasFoods, of which businesswoman Jan Cameron is a large shareholder, has gone into administration after its main brand Nichols Poultry was hit hard by industry-wide discounting and oversupply.
KPMG has been appointed administrator of the group, which is listed on the ASX and has been reporting losses in a tough trading environment. Its shares have been suspended from trading since February 20.
