Donald Trump had better do a deal with the Iranians by Friday or soon after. If the Strait of Hormuz is closed for another month, it is game, set and match to the Russo-Chinese axis.
The Strait of Hormuz is still closed. The only vessels making it through are Iranian tankers or cargoes moving on Tehran’s say-so and mostly headed for China and India.
Iran is still fighting its guerrilla war of attrition. The world is still amid one of the greatest global energy shocks in history, missing 14 million barrels a day of crude oil and refined products, and a fifth of its liquefied natural gas supply.
