Cross-country road trip to achieve uni dream

For the second year in a row, Bond University on the Gold Coast has taken out the top spot for teaching in the Best Universities Ranking.

Bond University students Katherine Zmich and Alexander Forrest learnt the business of adventure travel hands-on. 

When Alexander Forrest set off with his dad on a 4400-kilometre cross-country road trip from his home in Perth to the Gold Coast to attend university, it was a deliberate plan.

Two years later, and at only 19, Forrest is nearing the end of his film degree at Bond University and says the promise of an in-person learning experience and campus life was a big drawcard in making the journey.
