Emirates is assuring travel agents that flights from Australia to Europe through Dubai are largely back in service despite strikes closing the Gulf city’s airport and warnings from the Albanese government that flying through the Middle East is unsafe and could leave people stranded.
The airline, Qantas’ major international partner, told travel agents that flights had resumed to the majority of countries – 61 of 75 – that the carrier had serviced before the military campaign in the Middle East began. Other data suggested two-thirds of Emirates flights are back in service.
