Federal Court judge throws out greenwashing case against Santos

A Federal Court case that fossil fuel activists hoped would result in a landmark greenwashing verdict against oil and gas producer Santos has been dismissed outright by Justice Brigitte Markovic.

The case brought by the Australasian Centre for Corporate Responsibility alleged Santos breached corporations and consumer laws by making misleading claims about “clean energy”.
