Flood-hit Queensland farmers face huge losses

Farmers in north-western Queensland are bracing for significant livestock losses once they can fully assess the damage caused by severe flooding, and the federal and state governments have committed $38 million to support affected communities.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visited Cloncurry, where the town’s airstrip has been damaged in one of the worst floods since 2019.
