Former Westpac Banking Corporation chief executive Gail Kelly will be called to appear before a Senate inquiry into Optus’ fatal Triple Zero outage after senators vowed to grill Australian board members of the telco giant’s parent company, Singtel, over a catastrophic network failure.
Kelly sits on the 12-member board of Singtel with Optus chairman John Arthur and, while Arthur appeared at the first senate hearing into the outage in early November, Kelly has yet to face senators.
