Gail and Trevor Gee, both 72, have spent a year planning a five-week caravan trip from their home on the NSW South Coast to western Victoria with a dozen or so other retired travellers.
The deposits for the caravan sites had been transferred, the 2000-kilometre round trip mapped out, and tickets to a festival at their destination paid for.
