ARN Media has torn up its ill-fated $100 million contract with controversial shock jock Kyle Sandilands, freeing itself from a show that had become a commercial liability but setting the stage for an epic legal clash over whether its decision was justified.
Sandilands released a statement on Wednesday morning saying he had been notified by the company, which owns the Kiis and Pure Gold radio networks, that his contract had been terminated. “I don’t accept it,” he said.
