Lowe blows showed Labor’s deeper sensitivity on living standards

A focus on the economy should at least play the opposition back into form. Maybe even win a few waverers back from Pauline Hanson.

While the Liberal Party continues to agonise over when to release its review into its disastrous 2025 election campaign, Labor has, in part at least, already done the job for it.

A month ago, on a Friday afternoon, Labor quietly slipped out its own internal review in to the 2025 campaign. The timing was curious, given Friday afternoon, in political parlance, is known as “junk time”, as in that’s when parties release the stuff they want to sink without trace.
