Massive $US1.6b share sale widens Canva’s gender pay gap

Canva’s overall gender pay gap more than doubled last year after the design software company’s blockbuster $US1.6 billion ($2.4 billion) secondary sale allowed employees to sell their stock, lifting the average pay packets for its highest earners to $580,000.

New figures from the government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency released on Tuesday showed Canva’s average gender pay gap, including base salaries, bonuses and share sales, jumped to 27.1 per cent in 2024-2025, up from 12.7 per cent the year before.
