NAB to cut 170 jobs in business division, add international roles

National Australia Bank is reducing staff in its business division by 170, adding to a swathe of redundancies across its retail, technology and operations divisions, even as it adds jobs offshore in India and Vietnam.

A total of 447 jobs will go in the latest restructure, offset by the creation of 277 new roles in Australia, resulting in a net loss of 170 positions. The bank is also adding 237 roles at its innovation centres in the two Asian countries.
