NSW public servants took home an extra $4000 each last year

The NSW public service grew by 2.5 per cent last year to become more than 478,000-strong and big pay rises for police and health workers led the median full-time salary for permanent staff to rise to almost $105,000.

Permanent public servants took home an extra $4000 each last year on average, the 2025 NSW Public Sector Report tabled in parliament on Friday revealed.
