Pathway to Indigenous excellence aims to change the equation

Good news stories about Indigenous Australians can be hard to find, but this organisation is helping to break the cycle by turning hope into professional excellence.

There’s much that’s grim about the myriad issues facing Indigenous Australians – the low life expectancy, the high rates of incarceration, the poverty and the slum-housing are shameful to us all. Part of the problem, civil rights leaders say, is that so few Indigenous people are in positions of power to drive change.

Adam Davids hopes to change that equation. As the CEO of CareerTrackers, he leads an impressive organisation that, over the past 15 years, has shepherded 1600 Indigenous students through university and into professional careers in our leading companies.
