Sydney Airport unveiled its draft proposals for a mammoth redevelopment, grandly titled “Master Plan 2045” on Monday.
It would be the airport’s biggest revamp since the 2000 Olympics, CEO Scott Charlton spruiked. It will help the airport contribute $70 billion to the economy and more than 105,000 direct jobs by 2045. Plus, it would welcome more than 72 million passengers annually. That’s up 75 per cent on today, and a higher portion would be from overseas thanks to 12 new international terminals.
