Qantas cuts Jetstar services to New Zealand as fuel costs soar

Qantas will cut flights by its low-cost subsidiary, Jetstar, across the Tasman and in New Zealand as demand for services falls, driven by the Middle East conflict pushing fares higher.

More than 55 flights – or 12 per cent of services – have been cut from Jetstar’s intra-New Zealand schedule in May, according to data from Cirium, a specialist aviation analytics firm.
