Qantas to review fares every two weeks as fuel prices surge

Qantas says it will be reviewing its airfare pricing every fortnight, and may cut flights, as it grapples with soaring fuel costs and a highly volatile market brought on by war in the Middle East.

Qantas’ head of international flying, Cam Wallace, told a Tourism Australia conference that predicting airfares for the next three months is “really challenging” because “costs have increased in a way that I’ve never seen in my 30 years in airlines”.
