Sydney Airport chief warns against reliance on imported aviation fuel

There can be no assurances that airports will receive aviation fuel next month, importers have warned, with Sydney Airport chief executive Scott Charlton raising concerns about an over-reliance on overseas supplies.

Transport Minister Catherine King and Energy Minister Chris Bowen held talks with Qantas, Virgin Australia and other members of the transport industry, including Toll Holdings and the Heavy Vehicle Industry Association, on Thursday, seeking to reassure them about fuel supplies.
