Telstra did not inform rival of death related to Triple Zero failure

Australia’s biggest telecommunications group, Telstra, did not inform rival operator TPG Telecom of a death linked to Triple Zero failures on TPG’s Vodafone network, new emails reveal, further exposing major flaws in the nation’s emergency call systems.

The emails have been released by Telstra to senators probing Australia’s Triple Zero failings following Optus’ September 19 outage of hundreds of emergency calls, which have been linked to two deaths.
