Telstra, Vodafone bosses hauled before Triple Zero inquiry

The chief executives of Telstra and TPG Telecom, which owns the Vodafone network, will face senators in person this week as the crisis over Australia’s Triple Zero capabilities spreads beyond Optus to the entire telecommunications industry.

Communications minister Anika Wells, who has been criticised by the Coalition for flying to New York shortly after Optus’ September 18 outage, was also asked to appear at the second public hearing into Triple Zero failures on Tuesday but will not attend.
