Antony Catalano most assuredly had not had too much to drink when he pulled up to the booze bus as he drove out of Melbourne CBD on a Tuesday night in mid-October, 2012. Or at least, that’s what he told the waiting police officers – before faking a heart attack.

He had only had one beer and half a glass of liquor at a Chinese restaurant, he said, as his wife Stefanie sat in the passenger seat. He blew a blood alcohol level of 0.09, nearly twice the legal limit of 0.05.
