Washington | Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi offered to help US President Donald Trump broker relations with international partners to end the war in Iran, which she warned was severely degrading security and the global economy.
Takaichi heaped praise on the president, saying only he could “achieve peace across the world”, which was a polite gesture after Trump spent much of this week lashing out at Japan, Australia and other allies for their reluctance to help stabilise the spiralling conflict in the Middle East that he kick-started.
