UTS to cull more than 100 jobs after regulator rejects union claim

The University of Technology Sydney will pull the trigger on cutting more than 100 academic jobs in a major staff restructure after the workplace regulator rejected a union claim that it needed to consult more about the plan.

On Thursday, UTS will announce the final form of the academic restructure, including its decision to no longer offer undergraduate public health degrees in a bid to fix its finances after five operating deficits since 2020.
