‘Utter chaos’: Oil dives 14pc as Trump says Iran talks under way

Oil fell sharply, posting one of the biggest intraday price swings on record, after US President Donald Trump said his team held discussions about ending the conflict with Iran, though Tehran has denied any such dialogue.
Brent crude fell as much as 14 per cent shortly after Trump made the announcement on his Truth Social network, sliding to $US96 a barrel.
